Jason Shooster is an accomplished jazz guitarist, composer, and recording engineer based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Originally from Florida, he was exposed to a wide variety of musical genres from an early age, including fusion, world music, jazz, and Latin styles. These early influences sparked Jason's passion for music and laid the foundation for his development as a well-rounded musician.

At the age of 14, Jason discovered the music of Django Reinhardt, which had a profound impact on his playing style. Reinhardt's unmatched talent and spirited playing inspired Jason to inject his own music with similar energy and excitement. Today, his playing style stands out for its unique and emotional depth, seamlessly blending echoes of the past with a contemporary sensibility.

As the founder of Hot Club de Pai, Jason has released four records with the group and toured extensively in Europe and Asia. Presently, he is an member of the Mo Hippa Section, Madame Machine, the Jacob Fischer Gypsy Trio, and pursues his solo project, showcasing his versatile musicianship and innovative vision.

Jason's talent has afforded him many opportunities to collaborate and perform with some of the world's finest musicians and groups. His impressive resume includes George Tandy, Jorge Garcia, Jacob Fischer, Jesper Thilo, Geoffrey Perry, Reso Kiknadze, John Taney, Michael Ward-Bergeman and many others. He has also shared the stage with the likes of Angelo Debarre, Tchavalo Schmitt, Dumpstaphunk, Dopapod, Papadosio and Big Giganticto name a few.

Currently. he is pursuing a Tonemester degree at the Royal Danish Conservatory of Music. With his dedication to his craft and passion for music, there is no doubt that Jason is an artist to watch in the world of jazz and beyond.
